Gorleston is another good option if you decide to stay in Norfolk hotels, especially Hopton and Duck Duck which are both within a short drive. Undoubtedly one of the friendliest beaches in Norfolk, it sits south of Great Yarmouth but has all the charm and spice of its more famous neighbour.

This dog friendly Norfolk gem is located on the most northerly part of Norfolk’s east coast. One of the best things on this list, it’s great for walking with the pooch with nice paths in all directions giving you fresh air and a view of the North Sea. The beaches in this area are one, meaning you can explore as long as you and your furry friend are not interrupted.

Vauxhall Holiday Park

A desolate desert, Gap Cart is found at the end of a track that winds through miles of farmland. You can see as many tractors as cars here, but there’s also a lovely Smallstick shop a stone’s throw from the beach car park and it’s perfect for a snack or two. This interior story allows you to keep the product close to your pocket while fueling. The 40 minute drive from Norfolk Gardens is fun to say the least, and well worth the time it takes to get here.

Neighboring Cart Gap, Happisburgh (pronounced ‘haze-bruh’) offers a perfect change of scenery and cliffs that take you to the sand in this part of Norfolk. Formed by coastal erosion, the sand is calm most of the time and is a good alternative to other beaches in the area.

You will find an 18th century tower which has served important purposes over the years, and is believed to be the oldest still in operation in England. It is possible to climb more than 100 steps and be rewarded with a great view of the sand and the village. Speaking of which, the accommodation is really beautiful Norfolk, with the Hill House Inn pub, church and cricket wonders making it a truly English place to visit.

One of the best Blue Flag beaches in England, let alone Norfolk, Holkham sits just north of the seaside town of Wells in the north end. The landscape here is unique and beautiful, with the beach separated from the city by a beautiful waterway that runs straight from the North Sea in the south to the heart of the Norfolk Coast Area of ‚Äč‚ÄčOutstanding Natural Beauty. It may be one of the longer walks from Norfolk gardens, but the extra effort is worth it, especially if you’re bringing your dog!

East Ruston Cottages

The great love of golden sand comes to life as you wander this rural paradise, and at low tide this place is almost as wide as you want. Also in most cases, you are guaranteed to find a place to rest here, and with all the city’s amenities at 20 minutes or a short bike ride, plenty of rest is still at hand. The beach has been featured in popular releases like The Eagle Has Landed and The Avengers, so don’t be surprised if a few places look a little familiar.

Hunstanton is unique in terms of beaches in Norfolk. The only major town with a west-facing beach, it has attracted long-distance walkers, sunbathers and sunbathers with access to sand and shingle that overlooks neighboring Lincolnshire across the sea in the distance. The site itself was built for tourism in 1846 and retains much of the 19th century character that made it a popular hideaway at the time.
