Salem, Massachusetts is historic, educational and fun! Salem has a fun, low-key side, but there are also lots of great historical sites to see and things to do. Unsurprisingly given the history of the Salem Witch Trials, they celebrate Halloween throughout the month of October! Salem is very close to the harbor, so it also has a rich maritime history. It’s also a dog-friendly city with plenty of dog-friendly restaurants outside!

When old man Winter drops you off, go to the beach! Dogs love beaches too, so in this post I share our experience finding two dog-friendly beaches in South Florida. In the next post I talked about having a great dog vacation in W. Palm Beach.

My Siberian Husky, Icy, loved our trip to the beautiful snowy Valley of Waterville, New Hampshire last winter! Surprisingly, Phoebe liked it too. He did well in the cold and walked the beautiful dog trails we found in Waterville Valley.

They call Arkansas the Natural State for a reason. The natural beauty across the country is simply amazing! Arkansas is also a very dog-friendly place. Eureka Springs is located in northern Arkansas, nestled deep in the Ozark Mountains. It is a beautiful small town surrounded by natural beauty.

Another beautiful small town in Arkansas is Hot Springs. It is different from Eureka Springs as it is located in southern Arkansas and the natural springs below it are hot springs instead of the cold springs found north of Eureka Springs. This small town is not only surrounded by natural beauty, but has a very interesting history – Tip: Gangs and baseball play a big part in the town’s past!
