He has one goal: take his family to Wally World (the most famous Disney World simulation in the history of cinema). Clark W. Griswold (Chase) is on a mission; to seek, “to seek good.”

About three-quarters of the way through the movie, Clark sits down with his son, Rusty (Anthony Michael Hall), and shares a beer with him. From there, their money was spent. Ellen did not help. Even though I really like Beverly D’Angelo (very easy on the eyes, as they say), it’s not love. I think his role, in the movie, is to oppose Clark, poo-poo his plans, and cut him off when he has personal problems.
Beverly, a serious bowler, has a hard time staying angry. In the end, she gives in to her husband’s madness, but when it is unexpected because of Clark’s love and the “Mystery Girl” (Christie Brinkley) in a hot and red Ferrari will fly with him on the open road. Often in today’s media and pop culture, fathers are cast as boring, unimaginative bullies and cruel, insensitive, and naive women.
You will wonder how these couples found themselves in the car pool, and what made them decide to get married and have children. While Chase makes Clark Griswold look easy, it also provides moments of honesty and insight into his dark world. She cried tears thinking about losing her young children. He wants to be loved, loved and trusted, and he never stopped thinking about a trip to Wally World.
Director Harold Ramis directs a very funny story from John Hughes, with stories inspired by Levy, John Candy, Brian Doyle-Murray and Imogene Coca that matches the madness of his original material: a short story he wrote.
