Dog Friendly Beaches East England – One of our favorite places in England that we return to often is East Cliff and Warren Country Park in Folkestone, Kent. Warren’s beautiful beach is surrounded by beautiful coastal vegetation, which is crossed by a small boardwalk that offers stunning views of the sea and one of Folkestone’s three Napoleonic Martello towers. . You will often see many families with children hunting for fossils (the Warren is one of Britain’s most important geological sites) and people with dogs. Unlike other beaches in Folkestone, dogs are allowed on the beach! And what’s more, it’s a secluded place, quiet without crowds. All in all, East Cliff and Warren Country Park are on the list of favorite places in England!
We discovered this place about four years ago by accident when we were looking for dog friendly beaches around London. But we had no idea that we were going to a place with a long history (up to 300 million years), whose footprints can be seen as footprints in the nature of the Warren forest.

We always park near the Martello Tower I and walk about a mile, first on the road (on our first trip we had to ask the locals how to get to Warren Beach) and after a while there is a public footpath and is directly east. We then follow the path that leads to the beach where our dogs Tony and Charlie love to play tennis in the sea. But we always watch them not to drink salt water because it is poisonous to dogs and we give them our own water when it is hot and when they are thirsty. The rest of the time we play with them on the sandy beach. During high tide, the entire beach opens up before you.
You may wonder why most people on the beach are looking down, as if they are looking for something! At first we thought that people were looking for shells or treasure hunters, but in the end we realized that they were looking for fossils, because this place is rich in rare fossils, that’s why the place is listed as a special place. . Lucas enjoyed our last trip to the Warren, shoveling sand in his shovel and building sand with his dad saying, “Dig, dig, dig!” the last time we were there.
Also, there is a large concrete road under the rocks, which you can walk without hindrance and leads to the camp with the special name “Little Switzerland”. In fact, the landscape looks like Switzerland in miniature, with the zig-zag path on the East River looking a little more rocky than the traditional English coastal path!
